We have had the pleasure of working with Ronnie Boykin Jr for almost ten years for at least a dozen live events. He is a consummate professional, an amazing artist and photographer, and always delivers high quality work for all of our projects. We seriously cannot recommend him enough, definitely plan to hire him for other jobs in the future. The University of Denver Museum of Anthropology hosted an exhibit of Ronnie Boykin's photography series, "The Chain of Perception in Black America" in 2017. The moving images and words encouraged much needed conversations at this PWI. Ronnie visited campus in May and spoke with students and faculty in classes, during a public panel, and at a private lunch with DU Black Student Alliance members. His work is amazing, his dedication is astounding, and his energy is infectious.

Ronnie Boykin Jr.ʼs “The Chains of Perception in Black America” project is a powerful exploration of perspectives on dignity, value, and meaning during a deeply divided era in American history. By examining the ways in which African-Americans have often received and internalized racist messages present in the wider culture, Boykin calls all of us to greater awareness of and resistance to the embedded racism around us. Ronnieʼs intense compositions, staging, and curation reveal the strength of his aesthetics and the passion of his thinking.
